Fall in love with your new or existing home

At the end of my Home Styling Consultation, you will be equipped with a strong direction for your decorating project. The session may include zeroing in on your “look,” specifying wall colors, and advising on carpeting/rugs, lighting, window treatments, finishes and furniture layout. If a more comprehensive design plan is necessary (usually starting at $1,000 per room, including initial consultation), I can measure & photograph existing furniture (before or after move-in) and at the next appointment, present a to-scale furniture plan for your home. If possible, I try to use the client’s existing furnishings, perhaps reupholstered or reconfigured as a fresh update. I may then create a Pinterest board with general paint colors, furniture/accessory/lighting ideas and any other fill-in recommendations. Most pins will contain links so the client may purchase the items themself, if the item isn’t “to the trade only.”

My Home-seller’s Styling Consultation begins with a walk-through to devise a game plan to present your home in the best possible light to potential buyers. It can include “shopping your home”—re-arranging furniture and accessories for maximum impact, specifying the perfect paint colors to neutralize and a de-cluttering plan, if necessary. Additional services include coordinating the consignment of unwanted items and help in the actual implementation of a de-cluttering plan. I also assist clients in shopping for key accessories that will transform their home into the warm, and welcoming haven that buyers are looking for. 

 

What to do with all that “stuff”?

Over the years, I have consigned hundreds of pieces and with my expertise, can guide you to which local consignment stores will accept which of your own pieces. I can tell you the approximate value of your items, and coordinate the consignment process, if needed.
